Antagnod is among the most typical places in Monterosa ski area; as a hamlet of the nearby town of Ayas, it is a peaceful, quiet resort, and it is well known for its “Sciovie del Sole” (Sun Platter Lifts), so called because of their favorable exposure and because they arrive to easy slopes, at the bottom of Mount Dzerbion. Connection with Champoluc ski resort (4 Km away) and the International Nordic Skiing Centre in Brusson (10 Km away) is supplied by good public transport lines. This area is perfect for families with kids, who can find a Baby Snow Park thought for them. Antagnod is located at 1,710 meters of altitude, on the west side of Ayas Valley, and enjoys a wonderful sight on Monte Rosa. Cross-country skiers can find a red slope 3 Km away from Antagnod, a 3 Km ring located in Barmasc, at 2000 meters of altitude. Wearing snowshoes, you can walk a long ring, called Ferraro – Verra – Col Valscoccia – Monte Facciabella. In the latter, you can find an interesting, medium-difficulty slope for alpine skiing. Another longer route takes to the Gran Cima. In the small town of Antagnod, you can admire peculiar buildings, showing the features of local historical architecture, which remains preserved. Furthermore, you can see the precious high altar of Saint Martin de Tours Church, an amazing piece of sacred art; it is the most valuable wooden gold-plated baroque altar in the whole Aosta Valley.
