Do you want to ski in a Piedmont ski area? His white galaxy expands on the Alps in the north and in the west. There are 53 skiing resorts, and some of them are very small, and offer few slopes for alpine or cross-country skiing. Several ski areas here hosted 2006 Winter Olympics Games. Sestriere already organized a big event 10 years before, i.e. FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, in 1997. Just around Setriere you can find Via Lattea, the widest skiing area in Piedmont, and the second in Italy. Other ski resorts which slopes cover more than 100Km are Bardonecchia and Mondole Ski. Alagna, on the other hand, is the Piedmont door to Monterosa Ski ski area, which lies mostly in Aosta Valley. Ski pass prices are meant for a daily, full price ski pass for an adult during high season. They take no account of any possible reduction for skier type or season.
