Emilia Romagna is more famous for beaches and historical cities than for the mountains. But it offers around 15 ski resorts for a total of 360 km of slopes, all of them on the Appenines. The most important ones are Cimone (MO) and Corno alle Scale (BO). The first one in particular has modern lifts with level similar than the Alpine ski resort. Off course the conditions of the snow vary vary quickly since it is affected by the sea which is not far from here. Apart from Cimone and Corno alle Scale, there are several small ski resorts which are a good choice to try to ski for one day or learn this sport but probabily they are not a good choice for a week on the snow.
