Cimone skiing area is the widest and modern ski resort in Emilia Romagna, one of the most equipped in the whole Apennines. This skiing area lies on the mountains Cimone (2165 m) and Cimoncino (2000 m), while in the valley you can find front rank accommodation facilities in the villages of Sestola, Fanano, Riolunato and Montecreto. Cimone skiing area is the widest and modern ski resort in Emilia Romagna, one of the most equipped in the whole Apennines. This skiing area lies on the mountains Cimone (2165 m) and Cimoncino (2000 m), while in the valley you can find front rank accommodation facilities in the villages of Sestola, Fanano, Riolunato and Montecreto.

The skiing area stretches between 900 and 1976 meters, offering about 50 Km of slopes, 38 of which for alpine skiing, that are mainly red runs suitable for intermediate and evolving skiers. The width of slopes, their structure, the equipped snow park and the many off piste routes make this resort a favourite for snowboarders. There are also some black slopes, like the Direttissima going down from Pian Cavallaro to Passo del Lupo, covering 1.7 Km, or long runs like Catinaccio (3 Km). The little ones can approach the snow in the modern and furnished Cimoncino and Cimonelandia baby parks.

In Lago della Ninfa and in Cimoncino you will also find Nordic skiing runs. 70% of slopes is covered by a snow making system.

Last but not least, we have to talk about gastronomic tradition, from “tigelle” and cold cuts to traditional mushroom dishes, which made this area the Italian Food Valley.

A modern Ice palace, cinemas and spas complete the offer to relax and enjoy oneself after skiing.
