Ski resorts for intermediate skiers – Skiing on intermediate slopes

There are many ski resorts recommended to intermediate skiers that are not new to this sport, but are yet too unsure. Our advice is to find ski areas formed mainly by blue and red slopes, avoiding the most popular runs, that are often the most technical, too. We also recommend the unsure skier to avoid the most crowded slopes in the afternoon, because passing people form bumps on the snow that are uneasy for intermediate skiers.

Ski holidays for intermediate skiers in Italy

Andalo (Trentino)

Paganella ski area is a Trentino resort suitable for families because of its not too big dimensions, which allow to reach your family on the other side of this area. The slopes here are mostly red and blue, and are surrounded by a picturesque landscape. This resort is liked a lot, which often means that the slopes are a bit crowded.

Madonna di Campiglio (Trentino)

Even if Madonna di Campiglio offers a couple of very difficult slopes (Word Cup class), you can easily avoid them and find many long, panoramic slopes to ski without worries in a wonderful landscape.

Canazei (Trentino)

This is a perfect resort for intermediate skiers. Canazei lies in Val di Fassa, in the heart of Sella Ronda circuit, a well-known route suitable for anyone who can ski on a red slope without difficulties.

Madesimo (Lombardy)

Madesimo is probably the most easily reachable resort from Milan. There are many slopes suitable for intermediate skiers. Our advice is to go on Saturdays to avoid the crowd on Sundays.
