Madonna di Campiglio

Madonna di Campiglio is one of the most ancient ski resorts in Italy. As an all along smart and cool resort, it has been able to renew itself during time, in order to maintain its position at a national and international level. Madonna di Campiglio lies at 1550 m of altitude in the wonderful basin between Brenta Dolomites and Adamello and Presanella glaciers.

The variety of this location grants in winter to cover many kilometres of slopes, from and to the centre of the village, without taking off your skis, arriving to 2600 m of altitude and choosing among a variety of runs and levels. The 3-tre gare slope in Campiglio is historical; there, all alpine skiing races took place (slalom and downhill), and now it still hosts slalom races. If you love long, panoramic slopes with little gradient, we recommend the slope from Passo Grosté to Campo Imperatore, while the experts will surely enjoy the very fast Spinale, going down from mount Spinale to the village. The legendary Canalone Miramonti, which hosts World Cup races is available for nocturne skiing (0465/447744). The thrilling Ursus Snowpark offers three areas, with more than eight hectares of freestyle ground and about 40 facilities including kickers, step-ups, step downs, fun boxes, spines, boxes and rails, and a boardercross course. Madonna di Campiglio ski area is the centre of the wider area Madonna di Campiglio – Pinzolo – Folgarida – Marilleva, counting 63 ski lifts, 150 Km of runs, 70,000 square meters of snow parks, 40 Km for Nordic skiing and the connection skis on with Pinzolo and Folgarida – Marilleva. Madonna di Campiglio is also famous for its liveliness: for after-skiing, there are many restaurants, night clubs, discos, cinemas, arcades, and three spas; in Coderzone Terme you can enjoy thermal baths, and there is a spa in Terme Val Rendena Fonte S.Antonio. A little walk outside the village, you will find the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park, full of lakes, little valleys, creeks, and huts, and you can cycling or walking down 450 Km of paths among fir and larch woods.
