Sulden lies at the foot of the highest peak in Eastern Alps, Ortler mount, with its 3905 m. The view on the gigantic mountains of Ortler, Königspitze and Zebrù is majestic. The warm winter sun in South Tyrol offers to ski lovers the perfect location to fully enjoy the snow. Just saying 40 Km of slopes from 3250 to 1900 m of altitude is enough. On these iced waterfalls or on artificial floating ice, ice climbing is a sport that everyone have to try. No fear, with an expert mountain guide from Scuola d’Alpinismo Ortler it’s easy to learn how to do it and in no time you will be at ease using ice axes and climbers. Among the most exciting adventures in this area, excursions in skis surely have a special place. If you are expert enough or are accompanied by a mountain guide, surely you will experience something unique. Ortler area, in the middle of Ortler Alps, has 14 mountains over 3 thousand meters of altitude and is the perfect place for ski-mountaineering and skiing on fresh now. If you’re not an expert, you can enjoy excursions in the surroundings on normal slopes. Going for winter walks means to take your time. To enjoy the untouched nature with all your senses is a real luxury. Leaving traces in the snow, feeling your own body, enjoying panoramic views and be free – on seven kilometres of paths cleaned out from snow to allow winter walks.
