San Cassiano

San Cassiano is a picturesque village in Alta Badia at 1600 m of altitude. From here, a fast gondola lift takes to Piz Sorega, where beginners can find an easy platter lift to begin with ski. More expert skiers can find here an excellent starting point for very long ski routes, such as Sella Ronda, Tour dei Parchi and World War One Tour. San Cassiano, indeed, is connected skis on to Arabba and Corvara, and from here to the others valley included in Sella Ronda circuit. Beautiful slopes go down from Piz Sorega to the village. You can reach San Cassiano from Pordoi Pass, too, going down to Val Badia thanks to a wonderful and very long slope, finishing with a long slight slope near Armentarola. Here, you will find some horse sleighs that will take you to the nearest platter lift for only 1.80€. After a fast climb with the platter lift in Armentarola, you will go down again to San Cassiano. From here, you can reach Pordoi Pass thanks to a bus service.
