Obereggen is one of the most evocative resorts in South Tyrol, and is part of the Ski Center Latemar ski area. Together with Pampeago and Predazzo, that you can reach your skis on, it forms a single big skiing area offering 48 Km of alpine skiing slopes, all of them served by a snowmaking system to always ensure an excellent snow. The ski lifts, too are quite modern. There are only two platter lifts left in this ski area, while there are 12 four-seat chairlifts. In addition, there are two detachable grip gondola lifts – for 8 and 12 people – and a three-seat chairlift. The slopes are mostly for average-level skiers, but there are also many easy slopes for beginners and some black slopes for skiers who love more technical runs. Other flagships of this ski area are the snow park, night skiing, and toboggan at night. From Obereggen, you can easily reach Bolzano, where since the end of November to the 6th of January you will find a Christmas market.
