Gressoney-La-Trinite’

Gressoney-La-Trinité lays at the foot of Monte Rosa, in Lys valley, at 1637 m. It’s known as a vacation destination for all seasons. This town has a long history, and amazingly succeeds in keeping a balance between a modern resort and an ancient alpine village, with its typical Walser buildings. As the very heart of the main Monterosa Ski carousel, it hosts valuable slopes and breath-taking trails. From Gressoney Valley, trough Passo dei Salati, you can reach Valsesia with your skis on, while from Colle Bettaforca you can arrive to Ayas Valley. If you are looking for an amazing experience,…

If you are looking for an amazing experience, a helicopter can take you to 4000 meters and you can go down to the valley with your skis! If you are a mountaineering ski or free ride lover, you can hire a mountain guide (tel. 0125.366280 - 349.4320563 fax: 0125.36628) and try several off piste, like Canalino dell’Aquila, Valle Perduta, Piramide Vincent, Punta Giordani, Punta Vittoria and Canale della Malfatta. Taking Salati-Punta cable car, you will arrive at 3300 m of altitude, and you can try fresh-snow downhills. There are two baby parks: the first one, called La Trinité, is near the start of Punta Jolanda chair lift; the second one, called Staffal, is near Staffal cable car.

You may find peculiar the cross-country trail passing across the town; it is 5Km long and is approved for Italian Cup games. If you love to ski from the beginning of ski season until late spring, you will enjoy a cross-country slope 3Km long at 2000 meters of altitude: taking the cable car, you will arrive from Steffal to Sant’Anna mountain pasture.
