Cortina d’Ampezzo

Without any doubt, Cortina is the most renowned and eminent Italian ski resort; its name stayed preserved across time, partly thanks to the Wold Cup Games hosted there every year on Olympia delle Tofane slope. James Bond, too, was here during one of his films. Now, it surely remains the trendiest resort in Italian Alps. It lies in the wide, sunny Ampezzo Valley, the Dolomites forming its crown, and offers wonderful slopes located in three different ski resorts: Tofane, Faloria – Cristallo – Mietrez, and Lagazuoi – 5 Torri.

Among the black slopes, we recommend Forcella Rossa, Staunies and the legendary Canale Staunies; among the red slopes, we recommend Armentarola and Olympia; and Tofanina among the blue slopes. With the Valley ski pass, you can ski on every slope in Auronzo – Misurina ski resort, San Vito di Cadore, and Cortina, for an amount of 140 Km of slopes in Dolomiti Superski ski area.

For ski mountaineering lovers: starting from Lagazuoi – 5 Torri area, you can try many trails. In Scocrepes, you will find a well-equipped snow park divided in two different areas: Easy Line for beginners and Media Line for advanced skiers.

In Dolomiti d’Ampezzo Natural Park, cross-country skiers can enjoy 7 Km of rings, two of which with night lighting, and 70 Km of trails served by snowmaking systems. With Dolomiti NordicSki Card you can ski on about 1300 Km of slopes in 12 different resorts, the Europe largest cross-country skiing area. Snow kite is a thrilling experience: kites fly among Martisa, Passo Giau and Misurina Lake. With Moon Light Sledge, you can enjoy guided night excursions finishing in toboggan slides towards the valley.
