If you want to ski in Lombardy, you can find many ski resorts in the north of this region. The nearest resorts, going from towns in the plain, are located on Pre-Alps, in Lecco area – where Piani di Bobbio stands out – and on Bergamo Alps – where you can find the Brembo Ski ski area. However, you can find the wider ski resorts in the northern areas, between Valchiavenna (Madesimo) and Valtellina. In the east, Stelvio Pass remains the only location in Italy where you can ski the whole summer. Going downhill, you will find Bormio, a famous ski and spa resort, and – after a few kilometers – Livigno, a town that counts on a customs-free zone and international customers. Adamello ski is the biggest Lombardy resort, and it connects Tonale Pass and Presena Glacier with Ponte di Legno and Temù.
