Torgnon is an ancient village at 1500 meters of altitude in Valtournenche. Skiers can enjoy 23 kilometres of slopes between 1500 m (where Torgnon is) and 2246 m of altitude. Here we find modern ski lifts: a gondola lift for eight people, two four-seat chair lifts, one two-seat chairlift, and two magic carpets located in the Winter Park, a snow amusement park, ski school area and snow park. Cross- country skiers can choose among rings long 5, 7.5, 10 or 20 Km; among them, we recommend the Grandes Montagnes, a panoramic run starting from 1870 m of altitude, in Chantorné, at the gondola lift arriving point. You can enjoy Nordic skiing on the other side of the mountain, too, where you can arrive taking the road. Expert skiers can choose among many ski mountaineering excursions: you can start from Etirol (1660 m) and arrive to Cima Bianca (3009 m), Col de Fort (2906 m), Dome de Tsan (3351 m), La Fenetre de Tsan (2736 m), or La Fenetre d’Ersa (2290 m).
