If you buy Alto Sangro ski pass, you can access Toccaraso, Pescocostanzo and Pescasseroli runs, too. On Monte Pratello, snowboard lovers will find a red and a blue slope served by Pratelletto platter lift, and two reds served by the four-seat chairlift Vallone Crete Rosse, while freeriders can choose among the several steep gorges in this area. Cross-country skiers can cover the whole Cinque Miglia plateau on not beaten trails. There are many ski mountaineering routes: this resort is part of Comunità Montana Alto Sangro, dell’Altopiano delle Cinque Miglia e del Parco Nazionale della Majella. For after skiing, there are many choices: two discos, massages and wellness in Termealte, La Difesa (339 1167848 - 3391167847 www.termealte.it), riding stables, restaurants well known for their wine and food traditions. Rivisondoli is also famous for its Presepe Vivente (real-life nativity scene), a religious and folkloristic event celebrated every year on the 5th of January.
