Pila is a famous ski resort overlooking Aosta. It is simple to reach, and its success is due to the fast, brand new gondola lift connecting it directly with Aosta Valley main city. This is a wide ski area: 71 Km of slopes going from 1800 meters to 2750 meters of altitude (Mount Couis), and offering a view stretching from Mont Blanc to Monte Rosa Massif. Among the most spectacular runs, we recommend Couis 1 and Leissè, while Chamolè hosts breath-taking walls. Free riders can enjoy a new challenging trail - starting from Platta de Grevon, at 2700m, and going down to Plan De L’Eyve, at 2200m -, served by a magic carpet covered by a Plexiglas vault and starting from Couis 1 arrival point. With your ski pass, you can enter the Fun Park Chacard, behind the arrival point of Aosta-Pila gondola lift. Areaeffe is a well-equipped snow park, where you can arrive taking the Grimod four-seat chairlift. Timed slopes, excursions in snowshoes (even in the moonlight, every Wednesday and Saturday night, you can make a reservation calling the number 3397550033), and excursions in dogsled are the other options you can consider to fully enjoy the snow in Pila.
