It's the nearest big ski resort from Milan and one of the most eclectic ski area. Passo del Tonale is the high - altitude area of the resort and offers first class chairlifts and gondolas. The slopes are on both sides of the valley: on the north face you will find the Presena Glacier area, where you can ski from october till june and the black and tricky slope "Paradiso" one of the best in the Alps. On the sunny south side kids and beginners will find a great number of easy slopes, all the ski school facilities and a couple of top class slopes like the "Alpino" and the "Contrabbandieri". Another slope you have to ski is the one that starts on the top of the glacier (30oo m) and finishes in Ponte di Legno after 1.800 meter of vertical drop and 10 km of ski.
