Monte Bondone is a ski resort in Trentino, at only 15 minutes from the exit of A22 motorway. Monte Bondone is Trento alp, and lies in the middle of Etschtal. It offers 20 Km of alpine skiing slopes totally covered by a snowmaking system, and five freeride routes. Several chairlifts allow to climb different sides of the mountain; one of them is the modern six-seat chairlift inaugurated during the Winter Universiade Trentino 2013, it is a detachable-grip chairlift which replaces the historical “double-double” Montesel-Topolino, serving the slopes: Diagonale Montesel, Cordela (the natural continuation of Campo Primi Passi), Lavaman, 3-Tre, Topolino,…

It is open also at night during “Happy Snow” events, on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Gran Pista, a 3550 meters long red slope, is the longest run in this area and is served by Rocce Rosse chairlift. Monte Bedone snow park is 900 m long and 200 m wide, and it follows the east ridge of Lavaman slope. It lies between 1600 and 1470 m of altitude and is north exposed. It is served by the six-seat chairlift Montesel, and it’s totally fenced, with an entrance up on the mountain and an exit towards the valley.

Winter Universiade and World Rookie Tour are the main events, during winter. Monte Bondone also hosts an Olympic facility, the Super half pipe, with its 120 m of length and sides high 5.5 m; in December 2013, it hosted snowboard and freestyle competitions of the 26th Universiade.

In the sunny Conca delle Viote, at 1565 m of altitude, you will find a cross-country skiing centre, which propose 37 km of trails on packed snow, with different difficulties. There is a kids playground, and a slope for toboggans and snow-tubing. Cima Verde [green peak] is a renowned ski mountaineering spot, being part of the famous and tricky route “Tre Cime del Bondone” [three peaks of Bondone].

Monte Bondone is 15 Km away from Trento, where you will find a famous Christmas market between the end of November and the 31st of December.
