Livigno

Livigno is one of the most known and beautiful resorts in Lombardy. Thanks to the harsh weather, the snow lasts until the end of the season, remaining soft and powdery; furthermore, in lack of natural snow, a widespread snowmaking system will grant an excellent covering. Yet, skiers do not suffer from the cold, thanks to the new covered ski lifts (detachable grip chairlifts and gondola lifts). The town lies in a little valley, while the slopes are located on the mountains around it. Unfortunately, there are two different ski areas that are not connected to each other yet, even if they are very close and included in a single ski pass. Here, all the buildings remained those of a mountain area, and they succeeded to avoid those slab blocks that are often found in many ski resorts.
