Folgarida lies at 1300 m of altitude on Brenta Dolomites, in Dimaro municipality, on the way taking to Passo Campo Carlo Magno. This ski resort is part of Folgarida-Marilleva ski area, and has modern and fast ski lifts, serving 32 slopes for a total of 62 Km, some of them lightened for nocturne skiing. Thanks to the connection skis on with Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo, you can enjoy a single ski area counting 150 Km of slopes in the heart of Brenta Dolomites. The slopes are well covered in snow, and 95% of them are served by a snow making system. Two gondola lifts leave from 1300 and 1400 m to take skiers at 1860 m in Malghet Aut. Through Monte Spolverino you can access Marilleva and, from here, the slopes of Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo. To reach Madonna di Campiglio, you have to buy an extension, while Marilleva slopes are included in the normal ski pass. There is a wonderful black slope going down from Monte Spolverino to Folgarida, strongly recommended for experts, 1850 m long, with 554 m of drop and an average width of 35 meters, passing through the woods. There are two snow parks: Malghet Haut snow park, suitable for beginners, at the end of Provetti slope, a little over the starting point of Bamby chairlift; and Malga Paciana snow park, suitable for expert riders, near Malga Panciana, at the arriving point of Copai-Panciana gondola lift. In Val di Sole, skiers will find many ski-mountaineering routes, 55 Km of rings for cross-country skiing and 35 routes for snowshoes lovers. For guided excursions you can ask Consorzio Dimaro Folgarida Vacanze: phone 0463 986608 or 0463 986113. For after skiing, there is a wide choice: from ice-skating to sleddog, from excursions with horse sleighs to swimming pools in Malè Acquacenter, from the spa in Pejo to beauty shops and beauty farms, from disco-pubs to arcades. This ski area, thanks to the eight-places gondola lift with boarding in Daolasa Commezzadura rail stop, is perfectly integrated with Trento-Malè-Marilleva railway, creating a “road-rail-cable” system. Funivie Folgarida Marilleva Spa will apply a discount from the daily ski pass covering the price of a round-trip train ticket. Moreover, to promote the railway, parking lots in Trento station (where the Trento-Malè-Marilleva station starts) are for free. In Trento, the terminal of Trento-Malè-Marilleva 900 railway is located near Trenitalia station: you arrive with your train in Trento and a few minutes later you take the Dolomiti Express.
