Corno alle Scale, the only ski resort in Bologna province, stretches among the mounts Corno alle Scale, Cornaccio and Cupolino. Here, Alberto Tomba trained himself, and one of the most interesting runs in this area is a slope dedicated to him, the red slope Tomba 1, long 2400 m with a drop of 500 m. Here, Alberto Tomba trained himself, and one of the most interesting runs in this area is a slope dedicated to him, the red slope Tomba 1, long 2400 m with a drop of 500 m.

In total, the slopes in this area winds for about 15 Km between 1420 and 1945 m, and 70% of them is covered by a snowmaking system. The ski lifts include three four-seat chairlifts, two two-seat chairlifts, a platter lift in the snow park, a magic carpet for the ski school area and another magic carpet near the starting point of Cupolino platter lift.

For powder lovers, there are interesting off piste routes near the shelters Le Malghe and Duca degli Abruzzi. Snowboarders lovers have an area with spines, moguls, rails, parabolic turns and different level jumps, while kids can enjoy themselves on the snow in the baby park, on inflatables or on the snow tubing slope.

The offer includes also two cross-country skiing rings for a total of 8 Km: the first is challenging, and crosses Malghe plain, the other is easy, it’s long 4 Km and is located in Cavone, near the parking slots. Besides skiing, there are interesting activities such as sled dogging or excursions in snow cats (approved for 15 people and 3 children) on reserved routes. You can go to Le Malghe o Le Rocce shelter starting from the parking in Polla (053453050 / 53973). High up, at 1640 m, in Le Malghe shelter, you can relax yourself in the wellness centre.
