Canazei

Canazei is a wonderful ski resort at the bottom of Fassa valley, maybe the most famous in this valley thanks to its magnificent alpine skiing slopes and its modern ski lifts. This ski area, between Col Rodella and Belvedere, is connected to Sella Ronda ski area. We strongly recommend the two runs going down from the passes connecting Canazei with Val Gardena and Arabba. You can reach Canazei slopes also with the modern Col Rodella cable car from Campitello. In Canazei, you will also find Alba di Canazei ski resort with Ciampac ski area, from where you can reach your skis on Buffaure-Pozza di Fassa. Canazei is the starting and arriving point of Sella Ronda Skimarathon, an alpine skiing couple race by night winding for 42 Km along the skiing carousel of Dolomiti Superski, which through four Dolomites passes (Pordoi, Sella, Gardena and Campolongo) connects the Ladinia valleys (Val Gardena-Sëlva, Val Badia-Corvara, Fassa Valley-Canazei and Livinallongo-Arabba). The resorts connected to Sella Ronda ski area are Arabba, Malga Ciapela, Canazei, Val Gardena, Alta Badia. Cross-country skiing lovers have different choices: there is a cross-country skiing centre in Canazei, where you will find teachers from the local ski school; they can go towards Alba (“Ciasates” ring); or they can go towards “Soreghes-Sot Ronch” in the great plain connecting Canazei to the neighbouring Campitello di Fassa and to the Ciampac ring at 2100 m. In the middle of Belvedere ski area, at 2150 m, you will find the “Dolomiti park” snow park, easily reachable with the gondola lift leaving from Canazei and suitable for every level of freestyle.
