Urtijëi is a village which lies at 1200 m of altitude in Val Gardena, surrounded on the sides by steep slopes covered in wonderful conifer woods. On these very mountains you find the quiet slopes of Seiser Alm and Seceda. You can reach the first one taking the Urtijëi-Seiser Alm gondola lift; it is especially suitable for families and for beginners, thanks to its wide, not so steep slopes. The second one is for experts, and allows you to reach the Sella Ronda circuit taking the new funicular below the village of Santa Cristina. From there, you can take the Saslong gondola lift or the Sochers-Ciampinoi chairlift, and you’re ready to start the Sella Ronda circuit following one of its two ways.
